I Have a Little Surprise... I Write Songs for My Books!

Updated: Sep 26

I’ve long had a habit of writing a little jingle, verse, or set of lyrics to introduce chapters in my books. I finally gathered them together to see what they had in common and discovered I had quite a collection of songs waiting to be sung!
So, as I go along, I’ll be sharing songs inspired by my books. Many of the lyrics have been registered for copyright through the Electronic Copyright Office for years. Such fun!
Stay tuned for tunes and more from Big Otis and Miss May, the Toy Car Stories crew, and Emerald Hawks Flight who has at least five songs of her own. The Desert Store crew might find something to dance to out in that New Mexico desert while they roast fried bologna on sticks and eat cake.

And Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without ornery, non-bathing elves; reindeer on strike; grumpy old Huff and Puff and Frost and Tumble Peak Mountains, who could use a Christmas gift or two; and Old Ben’s Moose Hollow blizzard, which refuses to leave!
Which book's song are you most excited to hear? Let me know in the comments!
